Hi! I am Allison Ramey- I started Home Plate in 2019, and love helping clients run the bases of homeownership. A little about me... well, I worked at Lowe's Home Improvement for a combined total of 14 years. I have worked at multiple locations, and various positions. This is where I gained my "love where you live" attitude and inspired me to learn all things about homes. Once I met my wife, I moved out by her- which was near a Credit Union that I eventually applied at to get more of a 9-5 type job. I moved up the ladder so to speak and joined the Real Estate Department as the Servicing Specialist. In that position I had my NMLS License and was able to learn about the mortgage process. I was mainly in the background helping create each file's documents, including the Closing Disclosure, and documents that homeowner's would sign at closing. I also serviced the loans and paid our client's insurance, taxes, and PMI. This allowed me to interact with a lot of local REALTORS, where I learned you can get your Real Estate License pretty easily through classes nearby. I thought, why not learn more about the process and take the classes. Fast forward to now, and I have been helping people not only love where they live, but run the bases of homeownership. You are probably wondering, what's up with the running the bases-- It's my way of explaining the process of buying or selling real estate. I am an avid baseball fan (GO CUBS) and thought that this would be easy and relatable to use to explain the process to first time homeowners.  Thus the name Home Plate.  In 2022, Nicole Gavrick joined me and we are now a team.
