Making the decision to buy a home can be intimidating and stressful, especially for a first time homeowner like myself. I had little knowledge of what this process actually involved and let me tell you it is involved! Now take that along with buying a property remotely and never having seen it in person until the day before you close! This is exactly what my experience was like. The past few months have been filled with virtual tours, phone calls, text messages and emails. Even though I was working out of state and couldn’t physically be there for majority of this process, I was always informed and knew exactly were things stood. I closed on my first home December 10, 2018 and I am still pinching myself because I can hardly believe that this has manifested and that this process was so seamless and smooth. After years of doing research, the goal of owning a home seemed so far out of reach that even while going through this process there were times I was convinced that buying a home should not be this easy, especially from hundreds of miles away, but it was! This has been one of the best experiences of my life, not only because a lifelong goal has manifested, but because I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Mo Atunrase. Mo is phenomenal! Her knowledge and professionalism make her an expert at what she does. On top of that she is personable and has a way of easing any anxiety that you may have and trust me I had plenty. I’m so glad I entrusted her with such a special milestone in life. She went above and beyond, delivered AND exceeded every expectation I had. Suddenly this process didn’t seem so intimidating. The property that I purchased needed some TLC and she was always upfront, honest and transparent with me. She also went to bat on my behalf to make sure certain things that were agreed upon got taken care of before I signed on the dotted line. My main concern going into this process was getting a good deal and I am ecstatic that she delivered! My property was purchased well below it’s value and you know what that means? Instant equity!! She said she would get me taken care of and she did! Not only did she perform from a business standpoint, but she also took time out of her busy schedule to come and show support on my closing day and took beautiful pictures and videos that I will cherish a lifetime. Throughout this process she went from realtor, educator, cheerleader and advocate, to photographer! Who does that? Mo! That’s who! As a first time homeowner, I have literally struck gold! Mo didn’t set the bar, she is the bar! I would do this all over again, a million times, but only with Mo and her team! What else can I say, you have to see for yourself!
