I was a first-time home buyer with very limited buying power, and because of this, I was often outbid even when the houses I was looking at had an asking price that was within my budget. Heather did not back down or prioritize me less. She was encouraging after every step back and celebrated every win big or small. She was my biggest advocate through this entire process and very good at negotiating anything that needed negotating and asking for the most, within reason, amount of credits. She said that she would write a million offer letters if she thought that home could be the one. She was honest, kind, and genuine with me as well as everyone we met along the way. She walked a couple through how to ask their realtor to show the houses at times that were more convenient for the couple. She called out another realtor for discriminatory practices. She made friendly small talk that never felt forced or fake with anyone in the home during a showing so I could focus on looking at the home. She goes out of her way to attend every closing of every customer, which I hear some realtors don’t do. Heather was also very knowledgeable, reputable, and referred me to fellow reputable professionals. The lender that she connected me with found down payment assistance that also helped me pay off my car in the same transaction of buying a home. The inspector that she connected me with saved me from buying a house full of bad surprises. I always feel like I need to consult family and friends when faced with a big decision, and preferred someone coming with me to a showing, but I trust Heather so much that I felt comfortable if it was just her and I at a showing. It was also helpful that she had an idea of how much a repair would cost and/or how easy or difficult it would be to do it on my own. Heather is the only realtor I will ever work with. She is not allowed to retire, ever, because there are so many people who need to have HER on their team.
