About Me:  I was born and raised in the deep South in a small town outside of Shreveport, Louisiana (have you ever watched HBO’s True Blood?). Before the days of social media and high speed internet, I somehow knew the Bay Area was a place I COULD and would call "home." There is no other place in the world I have lived where I felt like many aspects of my identity were reflected in the community in which I lived. When I purchased a home with my ex-partner in Oakland in 2015, I saw a career in real estate as a way to apply my skills as an educator and science-minded individual to help other folks secure a permanent place in their communities and to access real estate as a wealth-building vehicle. My background in science and education means that I enjoy research, the numbers matter, the details of processes are important to me, and I’m skilled at breaking down otherwise daunting information. I'm passionate about what I do, and I’m constantly seeking new specialized knowledge and technology to help sellers and their families find solutions, better promote sellers’ listings, and to help buyers find their ideal homes or investment properties.
